There is so much to do with this move. Buying a house is stressful enough, but when that house is 800+ miles from where you currently live...well, it is insane. Doing paperwork though the mail and by faxing is a little disconcerting. Add that to the fact that the mortgage company keeps changing what they need. We fax what they ask for, then they email saying they need something else...or they need us to change the wording...ugh!!!

Also, deciding whether we move ourselves or hire a moving company. We have had estimates from a number of places and we just aren't sure what to do. We are also trying to sell a few things and give a few things away that we won't need there. Just so much to do in such a short time.

Change in plans

Honey and I have been engaged since April and were planning on getting married this fall. We have decided to postpone it just a bit. With our buying a house (the closing might be the weekend we were hoping for the wedding) we are thinking it might be too stressful. Closing on a house, moving 800 miles away, the stress of moving the dog (she isn't a good traveler), well, a wedding would end both of us in the nut house. This is a good thing though. I have total peace at the thought of postponing it.

We have a house!!!

I am so excited that I don't know what to say!! Honey and I have found a house...back in New England!!

When we first moved back to the was to move home for me. It's weird when you move back home to realize it isn't home anymore. I've been here for 2 years and though we have tried, it just doesn't feel right. So, we decided to try to find a home in New England. It was weird how things worked out.

We were flying out of here on a Wednesday to look at houses there on Wed evening, Thursday, and Friday. We were sent a new listing on Wed night that just had been listed on Tuesday. Somehow, we were able to schedule a walk through on Friday and this was our house!!

It is a 3 bedroom house on 10.1 acres! :) Most of these acres are fields and a little woods. This was exactly what we were looking for because we would love to get a couple horses at some point. The lawn is beautiful and I can just picture a swing set out there. Things are moving fast....we hope to be moved there by the end of October.
