We got married today! We found out on Thursday that the justice of the peace could do it we got married today! Honey's friend was our only guest but we did video it so my parents could see it. We got a couple pics, but Honey's friend didn't really know how to work the camera. :) I guess the next time we have someone else taking pics of something....we need to explain the camera. But we have the memories and that is enough for me. We got the required kiss pic, so we're ok. LOL!! We went to a steak house for our "reception" and had a blast. The food was yummy!!

Our adventure begins. It's about to get exciting, I'm sure!! Hang on tight!

Not so good :(

I am really not good at resolutions I guess. I have done ok with crafting everyday. I could do better with not spending money...and I am guessing you can see I am not doing well with blogging. Honey and I made a trip to my parents' house in the mountain state. Mama's 60th birthday was this week and we went to see them as sort of an early birthday present. Don't worry...we did give her a gift. :)

We got some good news on the adoption front. I can't really share yet, because it is still in the maybe stage. But the situation started out as a definite no so being maybe is a REALLY good thing!! We are getting married this month. It will be a very mild affair, but as soon as it happens, we can start our homestudy. Then, if all goes well...we might have some news to share. Who knows, maybe even a picture. I just can't wait to be a mama! And I am ready for my little one(s) to live here and not in an orphanage.

Have I said before...I love facebook. Reconnecting with old friends is so cool!

Well, at the beginning of the week, the weather man said we were going to have a nor'easter. Then they changed their mind and said we would have approximately 2-3 inches on both Saturday and Sunday. I guess he was wrong again. We have gotten about 2 feet so far and they are calling for at least 18 more inches tonight. UGH!! So glad that I don't have to work. But Honey volunteered for Sunday because the weatherman said just a little snow. Did ok with the spending money thing today except for paying for lunch when Honey and I went to the mall. It was only fair. But I did end up getting Diet Dr. Pepper today because Honey bought it as a surprise. The funny thing is that I didn't tell him about my money spending diet. I also got an afghan half put together I took care (for the most part) of my resolutions. :)

Happy New Year!

This year is going to be an exciting one...I'm sure of it! Honey and I plan to get married in January. Then we hope to start the process to bring home our little ones. See what I mean? I have to say that 2009 was a pretty good year. We got engaged and then bought our house. Two huge steps to starting our family. But 2010 is gonna be bigger!

I do have a couple resolutions for this year.

1. I want to blog more...I am going to try for everyday, but you know how that goes. Once the process of adoption gets started, I will have exciting stuff to say.

2. I want to stop spending unnecessary money. Stuff like soda and McDonalds are going to take a back seat. The money saved will go toward our adoption. :)

3. I am going to start crafting something everyday. I hope to have a ton of stuff to sell at craft fairs come November...the money from craft fairs will also go to our adoption fund (unless we have already traveled)

There are a couple other small things that are on the personal side. But you can't change everything at once, right? we start one of the most exciting (hopefully) years of my life! :)
